substance use disorder treatment

Lotus Recovery Center, Inc. was founded in 2017 by the Executive Director, Caroline Covington. She herself, found help though a 12-step based fellowship where she grew a desire to help women on their path to recovery.

In 2020 she partnered with Michael Panto, Program Director, to transition Lotus house from a sober living to a 3.1 ASAM level of care, in order to reach more women in need. Through their shared experience they were led to the conclusion that the standard treatment system led to cycles of institutions (rehabilitation centers, prisons, hospitals, recovery homes) and relapse, not long-lasting change.

This program is their commitment to help change this system for the better, to serve the clients as individuals, and to help them create emotionally healthy, productive, and meaningful lives.

Michael and Caroline believe that long term SUD treatment can serve as a gateway to developing skills needed to prepare women in early recovery for life in productive society. The house emphasizes the importance of comradery by holding weekly house meetings, group activities, and group therapy.
